Jeffrey Powell

Jeffrey Powell is a professor emeritus of ecology and evolutionary biology and an adjunct professor at the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and the School of Epidemiology and Public Health at Yale. Professor Powell’s major research interests include experimental population genetics and molecular evolution using Drosophila and mosquitoes. He is principal investigator on multiple NIH grants. Professor Powell received his PhD at the University of California, Davis. He is a member of the VectorBase Scientific Working Group, has served on multiple NIH and NSF grant review panels, and been on the editorial board of fourteen journals.
