Lynda Rosenfeld

Lynda Rosenfeld is a professor emerita of medicine (cardiology). She is a summa cum laude graduate of Jackson College of Tufts University and the Cornell University Medical College. She completed her Internal Medicine training at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and in 1979 arrived at Yale for fellowships in Cardiovascular Medicine and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. She was the first female Cardiology Fellow at Yale and the first female member of the cardiovascular medicine faculty, remaining at Yale for her entire career until her retirement in 2021.

Dr. Rosenfeld was the founding director of the Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship Program at Yale and led the program for more than twenty years. She also was the inaugural firm chief for the Goodyer Teaching Service at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She has received the Yale Cardiology Faculty Teaching Award twice and the award is now named after her. She is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Cardiology, and the Heart Rhythm Society.
