The Koerner Center is delighted to announce the publication of its fifth volume of Intellectual Trajectories talks. Edited by Richard H. Brodhead, the book contains twenty-four autobiographical talks by Koerner Fellows, Yale emeriti whose disciplines span the entirety of the university.
In his introduction, titled “Yale: The Inside Story,” Brodhead writes: “The five volumes of Koerner Center trajectories are no mere collection of personal reminiscence. Taken together they form an inside history of a great American university in the last three decades of the twentieth century and the first decades of the twenty-first—a history more revealing for being personal and particular, not a mass of institutional generalities, and for capturing the lifeblood of great universities: the play of curiosity that drives the life of the mind.”
Since the Koerner Center’s inception in 2003, one hundred and fifteen talks have been transcribed and are available as a free digital download or in hard copy for purchase through the center.
