Yale celebrates 100 years of women at the School of Medicine

March 20, 2018

The Henry Koerner Center is pleased to acknowledge members of its fellowship as Yale celebrates the 100-year anniversary of women at the School of Medicine. First admitted in 1916, women now consist of half of the School of Medicine’s student body. The commemoration highlights the contributions women have made to the school and the world and includes an exhibition, a compilation of videos, and a symposium which will be held on June 1, 2018. The symposium, Celebration and Reflection, will honor the contributions of women faculty and alumnae and is sponsored by the Committee on the Status of Women in Medicine, the Minority Organization for Retention & Expansion, and the Office of the Dean; the exhibition will feature historically important women, early women leaders, women of today, and women faculty, alumnae, and students
